I had a blast with this extended family on the Beach and Boards a few weeks ago as I wrapped up the last of the Jersey Shore sessions. I’ve been photographing one of the families since the children were infants and it’s been a pleasure watching their personalities take shape along the way. It was great to see them have some fun with their cousins and of course to capture all of them with Oma who was the reason the group got together. The session was a gift for her and I just know she will treasure the memories for years to come!
This post might just motivate my sleepyhead clients to set their alarm for an early morning session at the shore. The kiddos are typically full of giggles and energy and lets be honest everyone can be bribed with donuts after the shoot! This extended family enjoyed the beach with a gorgeous sky you only see an hour or so after sunrise. What a beautiful family and what a beautiful morning!
It was so great getting to know this family of four. They were referred my way from a long time client and friend. Such a small world to know they live less than a mile away from me back in Pennsylvania. Little Miss S made us work for most of her smiles which was fine by me since I can only imagine how she felt about our session interrupting her dinner time routine. Mom did everything right to set us up for success with great outfits and plenty of snacks to help out when the kiddos needed some encouragement. I knew we’d be able to capture the love this family had for each other in the end :)! Enjoy the peek!
Beach sessions are booking up quickly! This summer Avalon NJ seems like the place to be. It was a joy to capture a family I see year after year to start off the July 4th holiday week. Their girls get cuter and cuter and mom sure knows how to style her family for gorgeous results. It doesn’t hurt that we have a ton of fun running around on the beach and acting silly to grab those authentic giggles!
Lucky for me another interested family noticed us during the session and I was able to capture them for the first time a few nights later after exchanging information. If they visit again next year I’m hoping I can provide them with an annual experience as well!! My typical humor is geared towards the 1-12 year old set so I had to mix things up to crack this family of 5. They really were great to work with and as the session went on they were beyond comfortable in front of the lens!
To say I am thrilled to share the lifestyle session I was able to tackle with my very own little girl and our family is an understatement. It was beyond challenging but I am very happy with the moments I was able to capture at this special time. I am also happy I chose to have some studio photos taken by an extremely talented industry friend that took some of the pressure off me and produced images that are both outside of my genre and beyond beautiful!!
What a fantastic time of year to welcome a new family member. It was my pleasure to capture baby Rosie as her family spent some time snuggling with her and getting her used to the excitement surrounding this family of 5. It is very clear how loved this little girl is already especially by her proud Big Brother and Big Sister. Enjoy the sneak peek!!
I’ve been very lucky having the mom of this special family as a teacher for both of my boys over the years which makes us long time friends. It really helped when it came to being comfortable capturing her family while 9 months pregnant!!!
The last time we did photos was at the shore so this session had a completely different look and feel. They showed up in a wardrobe photographers dream about and an energy to go along with!! I can’t get enough of editing the Brother and Sister photos and I like to think these two are best buds all the time… sharing secrets, stealing kisses on the cheek, and playing games. Well that is the side of their friendship I was able to capture so I am going with it!!!
Enjoy the sneak peek! I’ll be taking some time off since I have certainly popped myself and hope to welcome our newest addition in the next 2 weeks or so!
